I predict that in 5 years, client-side frameworks will be completely redundant.
Both Web Components and compile-based setups will be the norm.
This is a fantastic article that shows you when to use preload, prefetch, pretender and other <link /> attributes.
I’ll be diving into this stuff very soon for a client, so it’s come at the right time for me.
