  1. 200 days until Brexit

It’s 200 days until Brexit and we’re sleepwalking into a disaster.

Labour are providing opposition that is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. They’ve actually spent more time opposing each other than the government. This amongst many reasons is why I moved my support to the Green Party.

Remember this: Labour are as accountable as the Tories for this mess by providing no actual opposition to their utter incompetence.

I’m very worried about the future for my kids.

  2. A closing thought for the day

I say this a lot, but it feels apt today. I yearn for us to put as much effort into building accessible, user friendly websites as we do into shitting on each other’s tech choices.

We can be embarrassing as an industry at times.

  3. Shame on us, the web community

This Twitter poll that most folks got wrong was intended as a fun challenge but as usual, some of the responses are unhelpful.

We want the web to be open and inclusive, but then we chastise people for misunderstanding a CSS fundamental. This, while there’s a constant obsession with tools. How can someone be expected to learn CSS when they’re chasing the latest hotness to keep up? It stinks, frankly and I’ll try and make something helpful to counter it.

  4. Timezones

I love this little tool and use it pretty regularly. It tells you what time it is across timezones while highlighting the timezone you're currently in.

It's built with vanilla JavaScript too, which is Chris, the author's jam.
