RSS and web mentions are two things that are making me rather excited about the web platform at the moment.

I abandoned RSS when I abandoned Thunderbird as an email client, years ago, so I feel like I've been missing out. I especially like that folks aren't just writing articles, but sharing links and notes. It feels like the good old days of the web.

A long stretch from the current horrors that certain social networks are bringing.

I'm back on RSS now and it's bringing me a lot of joy.

I've just started listening to this podcast and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm not into infosec or systems stuff really, but I've found the documentary nature of these episodes pretty gripping so far.

I found this talk incredibly inspiring (as I do with all of Jeremy's work).

I watched it at a time where I'm trying to use my own website as a root of my content again, so it felt apt to also link to Jeremy's talk in this way.

Mr Dan Mall shows us that just adding an active class probably isn't the best. There's better, more accesible options available to us.

I'm trying out this handy Mastodon and Twitter cross-posting thing.

It looks pretty handy with plenty of config options.

Update: I decided to remove this because I didn't end up wanting every toot being sent to Twitter. Still a neat little tool.
