Fading out siblings on hover in CSS
I love this trick by @trysmudford. He’s a smart lad.
It’s fun using his trick on a project we’re working on together, too!

I did a test run of Stalfos v2 last night with devpal.io. I tried to do it utility-first, but did find that laborious. I did however very much enjoy doing layout stuff, util-first.
Distributing design tokens was very useful, too, which is what I’m currently enjoying about Tailwind.
I’ve found a few weak points with the Stalfos v2 stuff, so will be adding some functions to get sizes per ratio value to help with component work.
I’ve replaced the live chat on devpal.io with a HTML form.
This is because over the last 6 months, the increase of anon users either asking if it’s a bot or just saying “hi” have gone through the roof.
It also relied on JavaScript. Not anymore!
It’s also nice to remove a tracking and surveillance device from the site.
The chat service was great, but the metrics I could see were unnecessary. It also mislead users.
Bonus: the site is now a test zone for Stalfos V2, so it’s a bit rough around the edges 😬
Also, @Netlify forms feel like cheating. A glorious service!
Did you know that I stick all of the examples from the piccalil.li articles that I write in a @CodePen collection?
Now you do!
Issue #7 is out tomorrow 🚀
I’ve gotta say: this version of Edge for Mac is bloody awesome. Super fast and clean.
I’m still wary of browser-diversity issues, but some very positive things have been happening with Edge + Chromium, too.
Interesting times ahead.
